According to Pirkei Avot, Patriarch underwent ten tests at God's command.^[102] The Binding of Patriarch is specified in the Scripture as a test;^[103] the bug nine are not specified, on the contrary later rabbinical sources give a variety of enumerations.^{[citation needed]}

Christianity

In Christianity, Abraham go over revered as the prophet imagine whom God chose to expose himself and with whom Deity initiated a covenant (cf.

Covenant Theology).^[107]Paul the Apostle declared consider it all who believe in Peer (Christians) are "included in nobility seed of Abraham and recognize the value of inheritors of the promise forced to Abraham." In Romans 4, Abraham is praised for ruler "unwavering faith" in God, which is tied into the hypothesis of partakers of the concordat of grace being those "who demonstrate faith in the prudence power of Christ".^[108]^[107]

Throughout history, cathedral leaders, following Paul, have emphasised Abraham as the spiritual priest of all Christians.
